Biography

I can not remember a time I was not interested in history and art. Growing up as an army brat I had the opportunity to travel and was introduced to many different cultures. Within those cultures I studied some of their day-to-day interactions but also their religion. I find that religion usually has a bigger part to play in a culture than one might usually think. It seems to me that religion is usually the blueprint or foundation of a culture. Even today in most countries the religious aspect of a culture may not be up front and in your face, but it is there. It was in the religious area of my studies that I was just awe struck by some of neatest old art work. So I tried to reproduce some of it. At first it was a little difficult because I was not used to drawing in that style, but after a while I got the hang of it.

In high school I started doing a little freelance work, taking a few commissions here and there. I had a little fun with that so I decided to get some professional instruction to add to my skills as well as fine tune some of the ones I already had. After high school I went off to Kansas State University and studied history, art, and anthropology before graduating with my bachelor’s degree.
